hmmm. i jus read pastor joel's blog. all his entries are so inspiring. and this particular entry caught my eye. thought i'd jus share wif all u guys who read my blog. =) here goes:

There's a place whereby an ENTIRE community hidden deep within the jungles of the tropical world that is high on drugsThey didn't take heroin, nor coke (cocaine), nor marajuana (grass) - but they injected themselves with this ONE drug - called NIS.It made them feel good and they achieved highs that produced such intense pleasures that scientists say the other popular drugs like Coke, Ice or grass couldn't achieve ..

But it stained their organs and slowly corroded them ..

Each time they'd try to quit, the temptation would be too great, and it was a matter of time before they got back on it ..No one EVER quit the drug..

The studies showed that the entire community was on it - the babies born, were addicted to them through their mom's stained wombs .. cos' they had mom's who took the drug continuously throughout the pregnancies ..

The entire community couldn't live without the drug ..

Yet reports say that one day, this tropical community, hidden deep within the jungles, one day experienced a man from the outer boundaries .. one from the urban city, who trekked all the way into their jungle habitat ..

When he came, records show that the foreigner was shocked at the people's blatant use of drugs ...They'd use home-made bamboo thin tubes and pierce their arms, and pour the drug in liquid form into their veins .. and even the kids as young as 6 years old didn't flinch when they did it..

The babies and toddlers? Their parents helped them - sure it hurt initially but the pleasures the drugs brought, made them numb to being pierced the next time, because they eagerly anticipated the drug coming ..

The foreigner did his best to discourage their usage of the drug - and he even taught some of them how to beat it and stay clean for a while ..

Soon he developed a following for his 'jungle rehab clinic' .. but every now and then, his patients would revert to the drug abuse as they'd always done ..

The only way to beat this - was for the foreigner to gather all the drugs available in the entire community ..And take it into his own body .. he couldn't pour it away, some one would find it..he couldn't burn it - the fumes will make everyone high..

So he took it all .. this rapid drug overdose drove his body into immense pain and torture..

The people looked on, cursing him as he lay dying - for they longed for the drug.. and he'd taken it from them ..He'd come here and become like a hero to them, helping them with his medical abilities - but now they didn't understand what he was trying to do, for them .. not the slightest bit ..

Some of his former rehab patients who'd reverted to abuse, looked on with tears in their eyes.. they knew the disappointments they were and what he was trying to do..They mourned him as his body convulsed in rapid movements until the blood flowed from his orfices in his eyes, nose and ears ..

and he died.

For them.

Some of them, took his body and buried him, whilst the rest went looking in the jungle to see if they could find more of the drug, NIS. Rumour, has it that he didn't die. 3 days later, the foreigner emerged having beaten the drug and he gave the same bondage-breaking gift to those who desired to follow his path and beat the drug addiction ..

And the community was now split ..Former addicts who're reportedly now clean, according to research done by some scientists who remain baffled at the solution to the addiction ..And addicts who remain stuck on the drug, NIS.

Sound familiar?Its the story of humankind, stuck on SIN (its NIS in reverse)And the foreigner? Jesus Christ who entered our lost world and took our sin upon himself to save us from the bondage we were in, to Sin.

HR. omg. im sOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo dead can. been studying in the afternoon. but not enuff. then went out for a while.. came baq. watch tv all the way. win already rite. ha. im jus looking at the mindmap and i realised tt i don haf some notes. don know wats gg on also. merry christmas to me la. sheesh... i tink im gg to fail the paper tmr. haa. im not even in my exam-studying-test mood can. bwahah. can sit here and luff some more. sheesh. damn high la. lol. ok la ok la. will go off to study now. til then see ya!! ciao.
